Beyond Matter – 6 Sculptors in Hybrid Space

15 January - 15 February 2026

Hybrid Sculpture Lab Berlin presents Beyond Matter, a virtual exhibition bringing together six international sculptors whose practices have been shaped through years of working at global sculpture symposiums. Grounded in traditional sculptural disciplines such as stone, wood, metal, and mixed media, the artists expand their material-based thinking into digital space. Each artist presents two works developed in 3D. Some of the sculptures already exist as physical works, others have been realized through 3D printing or as NFTs, while several remain speculative digital models conceived for future materialization. The exhibition highlights a shared transition: from material presence and physical resistance to hybrid sculptural systems that operate beyond gravity and conventional fabrication. Agata Tekla explores the female figure as an allegorical form, focusing on empowerment, care, and ethical values through fluid and dignified silhouettes. Daniel Pérez works with fragmentation of the human face, using absence and geometry to activate memory and personal interpretation. Butrint Morina investigates movement and human connection, translating rhythm, emotion, and collective experience into abstract sculptural forms. José Millán examines transformation and tension, creating works that unfold between separation and encounter. Javier Colomino develops digitally conceived sculptures that embody fundamental oppositions, existing as NFTs and as proposals for future physical realization. Nils Hansen bridges traditional stone sculpture and contemporary digital form-finding, exploring how sculptural presence and material logic translate into virtual space. Presented entirely online, Beyond Matter proposes an expanded sculptural field in which digital and material realities coexist, and sculpture unfolds across physical, virtual, and conceptual di-mensions.
